Scientists discovered a new factor associated with aggressive colorectal cancer

   1278

Cancer Research -  CNOT3 is a transcription factor which controls self-renewal of embryonic stem cells. In patients with early-stage colorectal cancer, the presence of CNOT3 is associated with worse clinical outcomes if compared with tumors with little or no CNOT3 expression. This study suggests that CNOT3 may be considered as a new biomarker for molecular and prognostic classification of early-stage colorectal cancer.
