Nature Communications - An individual’s risk to develop colorectal cancer (CRC) is affected by a broad spectrum of genetic variants which contribute to disease onset and progression. The study shows that variant rs1800734 promotes cancer malignancy by enhancing expression of particular genes

 

The non-coding variant rs1800734 enhances DCLK3 expression through long-range interaction and promotes colorectal cancer progression
