F. nucleatum Increases Proliferation of Colorectal Cancer Cells
Gastroenterology - Nearly 20% of the global cancer burden can be linked to infectious agents. It is still not clear how these agents influence tumor formation. However, a group of Chinese researchers examined colorectal carcinogenesis in mice and noticed that infection of CRC cells with F nucleatum increases their proliferation, invasive activity, and reduces survival times.
