China: Innovative therapeutic strategy for recurrent colorectal cancer

   1769

Nature Communications - A team of Chinese scientists suggests an innovative therapeutic strategy for colorectal cancer for patients with poor prognosis and relapse.

They showed that Adenylate kinase (hCINAP), an enzyme which is particularly abundant in colorectal cancer tissues, promotes invasion, self-renewal, tumorigenesis and chemoresistance of colorectal cancer stem cells. For this reason, they identify hCINAP as a promising drug target for colorectal invasion and metastasis.
